Jade Waterfront Condos: A Jewel on the Lake

One thing that we at the Toronto Star’s NewInHomes.com never get tired of posting about is the development of our flourishing Waterfront.  This week, we would like to present one of Phantom Developments’ latest projects, Jade Waterfront Condos.   

The resort inspired condo will be a breath of fresh air for the corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Marine Parade Drive.  Phantom Developments is really bringing a new look to the area.  Designed by Quadrangle Architects, Jade will rise 38 storeys in a contemporary fashion.  Two sides will feature rows of undulating glass, mimicking the soothing motion of the waves of Lake Ontario, which lies just beyond the front doors.  We find the design rather narrow, but its simplicity somehow complements the seemingly fragile structure.  Aesthetically, Jade Waterfront Condos will be an excellent addition to our Waterfront.  

Phantom Developments picked up some prime real estate when they purchased this site.  Jade Waterfront Condos will be situated just south of the Gardiner Expressway, and right on the Lake Shore streetcar line.  Humber Bay Park East and West will also be within a close proximity to the front steps of Jade.  There are many restaurants, schools, and markets, and with the number of developments planned for this area, we are certain that there will be many new retail opportunities and other independent shops opening soon.  The area is definitely on the rise! 

Jade Waterfront Condos will also add its own set of impressive amenities to the community, including a significant amount of bicycle racks, promoting alternative transportation, pet grooming services, fitness facilities, and a yoga studio.  There will also be many other amenities, geared toward a more relaxing kind of entertainment, such as a modern lounge with a fireplace, an outdoor pool, a whirlpool, a billiards room, a theatre for watching your favourite films, a virtual golf simulator to practice your swing, and outdoor barbecue stations, perfect for socializing with neighbours over thick steaks and vegetable skewers.  

Phantom Developments’ new condominium, Jade Waterfront Condos, will be comprised of approximately 370 units, ranging in sizes from 465 to 1,450 square feet.  We have not received any renderings of the units’ interiors, but they are supposed to be intimate, yet spacious, while being modern and comfortable.  The luxurious units will also open up to expansive balconies, providing amazing views of the lake and city.
