TORONTO, November 20, 2012 - In the first two weeks, The Daniels Corporation has achieved 300 firm sales on 363 of its One Park Place Condominium suites priced from the low $200,000s, in Toronto’s revitalized Regent Park neighbourhood.

Said The Daniels Corporation’s Vice President Martin Blake, “Such brisk sales in the second phase of the Regent Park revitalization, now under construction, proves that a great condo in a great neighbourhood at the right price will draw buyers, whatever the market conditions.  And, seeing the project being built gives our buyers confidence knowing their home will be delivered on time, as promised.”

The Daniels Corporation’s recipe for such success, added Blake, “continues to be a combination of stringent standards for building and customer service and innovative programs designed to help buyers become homeowners.  As an example, our First Home BOOST program is one of the GTA’s strongest first-time buyer programs, providing qualified purchasers with valuable down payment assistance. In addition, realistic and creative marketing strategies such as Daniels’ Inner Circle have allowed us to cultivate a tight-knit community of interested parties.  There is a demand to live in Regent Park today, in part because of all the wonderful amenities being offered.”

A testament to these efforts, Tarion, the corporation responsible for new home warranties in Ontario, this year named Daniels High-Rise Builder of the Year, reinforcing the positive impact its programs have on buyers, and its communities have on the City of Toronto.

“At our core, we are about value, and about values,” said Blake. “We offer desirable products at fair prices, something buyers will always respect, and try hard to make a lasting legacy of community spirit wherever we build. It’s clear that One Park Place is the embodiment of what we hold dear.”

Now in its second phase (of a planned five phases), the Regent Park neighbourhood from which One Park Place will rise tells one of Toronto’s most important revitalization stories. Over the past few years, this massive urban renewal project, in which The Daniels Corporation was chosen to partner with Toronto Community Housing, has turned a once-neglected area of Toronto into a dynamic, multi-use neighbourhood.  No longer just a plan and a promise, the new Regent Park is being realized, inspiring buyers to make One Park Place a huge success.

The Daniels Corporation’s first condo building, One Cole, has welcomed national chains to its ground-level retail spaces including RBC Royal Bank, Rogers, FreshCo. by Sobeys and Tim Hortons, providing new and much-needed amenities to the community.

With the recent opening of Daniels Spectrum, an inspiring 60,000 sq. ft. cultural hub, the Paintbox Bistro and the Regional Aquatic Centre, Regent Park is rapidly becoming one of the city’s most desirable addresses.

The third phase of the revitalization has been unveiled with state-of-the-art sports facilities such as a new soccer field that could be converted to a cricket pitch, a basketball court and an improved ice rink with neighbourhood residents being given priority access to the recreation space, and which would be run by a community agency.
