Blue Sky opening in Stouffville a huge success!

By Newinhomes on Jun 03, 2019

It’s been a busy spring for Fieldgate Homes. Just over a week ago, they sold out at Park Vista in Whitby in a single day. Then last weekend, they had a huge turnout at Blue Sky in Stouffville!

We think it’s pretty safe to say that Blue Sky is one of the most successful new home communities in Stouffville. Even when there’s no news of a new release, we sometimes get messages via social about availability. When we caught wind of Fieldgate planning a spring opening, we immediately knew that it was going to be a hit.

According to Fieldgate, people started lining up days before the June 1st opening. Fieldgate has been doing this thing that we think is a really good idea; they’re opening their sales centre a good week or two before the opening so people can visit, ask questions, and get all the info they need in order to make a purchase.

During these sneak peeks/open houses, no one is allowed to buy. They’re only allowed to get details for the opening, then they have to line up like everyone else. Those who visit the sales centre before the opening have an advantage because they have already asked the sales representatives all the questions they had.

The Blue Sky sales centre parking lot isn’t very big, so it filled up immediately, and people were parking on the street and walking over to get in line. To manage the crowds, Fieldgate had a security guard making a list and taking attendance. Then they handed out numbers to people in line. This helped ease the sense of urgency and allowed people to more casually browse the available lots and elevations.

Like at Park Vista, Fieldgate had a choice between traditional and contemporary elevations. The traditional models were what you expect from a single-family home in the GTA - brick, stone, and peaked roofs. The contemporary models were more streamlined and geometric with large windows. Having the choice between the two styles undoubtedly attracted a wider range of buyers.

The new release at Blue Sky featured 30’, 36’, 40’, and 50’ detached homes. And we just received news this morning that they sold out over the weekend! If you’re interested in Blue Sky, you’ll have to register for the next release!

For April 2019, the Building Industry and Land Development Association reported the sixth consecutive month-over-month increase for new single-family homes in the GTA. By the sounds of it, May was a strong month, too, and June is off to an amazing start with the Blue Sky opening.
