Recently, Simple Concept hosted an open house in Caledon to exhibit the literal bones of a BONE Structure home. The open house took place in an under construction home so that prospective buyers could see how this innovative system functioned.

What is the BONE Structure system?

The BONE Structure system employs an IKEA meets The Sims technique for building homes. Offering extreme precision to home builders and buyers, every aspect is customizable from each stage of the process. From the initial stages to reference plans available for onsite use, 3D technology enables complete oversight of the project. This kind of avant garde technology utilizes Integrated Measuring System (IMS), which allows even the most scrupulous of buyers to move walls and windows around and modify external siding in order to create the perfect home.

Access to advanced computerized models makes it easy to review every component of the home, with zoom capacity that can get as close to the heads of the screws! All of the parts are conveniently manufactured in Quebec and are made using the same technology as parts for aircrafts and automobiles. With no cutting, no drilling and no nails required, construction costs can be dramatically reduced and homes can be assembled with extraordinary expedience.

Similar to IKEA furniture, the idea of putting an entire home together using a bag of screws and a hand drill may seem strange, but in terms of precision, the results have shown that precut doors, windows, exterior siding and the actual structure come together with fewer flaws and errors than the alternative. Complete with pre-cut spaces for cables and other such materials, electricians, plumbers and other specialists will have no difficulty rolling out and connecting their equipment.

The BONE Structure is leading the path into a more environmentally sustainable way of building. Not only do job sites generate no waste resulting from cutting, but since the material used (steel) is 100% recyclable, it is possible to reuse these materials without waste as well. Aside from that, The Bone Structure system uses a Novoclimat approved thermal insulation system that has proven to reduce heating and air-conditioning consumption substantially.
