Coming Soon: Windfields by Minto

We at the Toronto Star’s NewInHomes.com recently received some very exciting news that Minto is preparing to release Windfields, a brand new master-planned community in the Durham Region.

Located just east of Brooklin and Whitby, on 160 acres of legendary thoroughbred farm land, Minto is planning to construct a collection of detached homes that will be available on 36’ and 43’ lots, and a series of freehold towns.  The expansive farm land site hit the market about two years ago after running for the better part of six decades. Today, it remains as a local landmark, so it is very important that the designs of the new residential opportunities be tasteful and timeless.  As of now, there are no renderings of Windfields, but based on Minto’s impressive portfolio of housing communities, we are sure that they are designing something more than suitable for the historic site.  

The fabric of Windfields will be comprised of exclusive golf courses, lush greenery, and ample park spaces.  At Windfields, you will get the serenity and comfort of a small town with the conveniences of a city within a close proximity.  There are a number of schools and public facilities, a variety of new retail locations slowly popping up, and it is only a 45 minute drive to Toronto.  Both the 401 and 407 ETR will be easily accessible from your future driveway.  

Since 1955, Minto has created over 70,000 new homes, ranging from Ottawa to Toronto to Florida.  They are known for their unique designs, excellent customer service, and quality building.  Their master-planned communities, all in scenic locations, are said to be the “antidote to today’s hectic urban environment.”  

Windfields is scheduled to be officially released this summer!  Prices will be starting in the low $200,000s.  We are extremely excited to receive some renderings and floor plans for Minto’s new master-planned community, and we will surely share them with you as soon as possible!
