The whole team at Newinhomes.com is very excited to hear that Geranium Homes’ luxury Ballantrae community, Copperstone, is now officially under construction.

Geranium launched Copperstone 10 months ago, and has since sold 17 of the 18 half-acre lots; an impressive feat for a high-end enclave of homes starting at $1.2 million. The private cul-de-sac will feature an intimate collection of two-storey detached homes and bungalows with lofts. There is only one lot remaining (Lot #17), located at the entrance of the cul-de-sac, so it is one of the first Copperstone homes you will see when driving down Lakeshore Road.

This is your opportunity to own The Balmoral model on Lot #17. The four-bedroom, 4,331 square foot home is one of the largest at Copperstone. One of our favourite aspects of the Balmoral design is the hexagonal living room, which is located directly below the fourth bedroom (which more than 200 square feet). This shape makes for a more captivating living space to work with, and a sophisticated conical roof that will surely turn some heads.

In addition to the beautiful living room/library at the front of the home, there is a 320 square foot great room located next to the kitchen, and no, this is not the dining room! The dining room is on the other side of the kitchen and is connected via a servery, which has a walk-in pantry and an optional sink.

All the homes have a covered porch or loggia, and The Balmoral’s covered loggia measures nearly 300 square feet! The covered loggia is accessed through the kitchen, which brings us to our second favourite thing about this floorplan: we love how the kitchen is so well connected to three different living spaces and also features a breakfast bar for morning gathering. The kitchen isn’t technically in the centre of the floorplan, but the design makes it so that it is definitely the heart of the home.

The beauty of Copperstone is that each home on the street is unique. Some impressive interior features and finishes include 9’ ceilings, oak stairs with upgraded pickets, granite tile and countertops, high quality hardwood flooring, Bosch appliances in the stylish and open kitchens, gas fireplaces, and coffered, tray, and waffle ceilings.

Living the life in Ballantrae

Located along Lakeshore Road, on the east side of Highway 48, Copperstone is where “country meets elegance.” The natural landscape surrounding Copperstone is truly breathtaking, especially with Musselman Lake being only a few minutes down Lakeshore. Ballantrae Golf and Country Club also adds to the green fabric of the hamlet, and other courses, like Maples of Ballantrae and St. Andrew’s East Golf and Country Club are only a few extra minutes away.

Ballantrae and the surrounding area is also known for its equestrian farms. The closest one to Copperstone would be Tartan Mews Equestrian, which is a full service boarding and lesson facility, featuring indoor and outdoor arenas, an exercise track, and much more.

On top of all the fantastic outdoor spaces, Ballantrae offers access to a number of fine establishments for dining and shopping, and Copperstone is only 10 minutes north of Stouffville and is near all that Aurora has to offer.

Geranium Homes has announced a new cul-de-sac estate home community with 3/4-acre lots that will be coming soon to Ninth Line and Bloomington, a few minutes south of Musselman Lake - so keep your eye out for that one!

For more information about the one remaining home at Copperstone, visit the presentation centre at Forest Trail Estates on the west side of Highway 48, just south of Lakeshore Road on the weekend from 11 am to 5 pm, or call 905-642-1900 to book an appointment.
