By on Oct 21, 2010

The Pemberton Group has broken ground on the highly anticipated U Condominiums. Located smack dab in the centre of the universe, the famed intersection of Bay and Bloor streets, U Condos will include two contemporary buildings, the 55-storey East Tower and 45-storey West Tower.

The area is one of the most exciting in the country, home to Toronto's bustling financial industry as well as international attractions including the Royal Ontario Museum, the Gardiner Museum, the Queens Park Parliament buildings and the Art Gallery of Ontario. U Condos are also adjacent to the picturesque St. Michael's College campus of the University of Toronto, as well as a new urban park. Last but not least, residents will enjoy close proximity to world-class shopping, five-star restaurants, and the TTC is literally just steps away.

Interior suite finishes include smooth nine-foot ceilings, engineered five-inch wide wood flooring in the principal rooms, gourmet kitchens with a custom-designed Corian® countertop and backsplash, plus custom cabinetry, appliances from Miele, Fulgor and Blomberg and much more. Prospective buyers have their choice of studios, one- bedroom, one-bedroom + den, two-bedroom and two-bedroom + den layouts. Suites range in size from 325 to 1,477 sq. ft., and prices start from the mid-$200,000's to over $1 million, including HST. For those seeking a larger suite, there is an excellent selection priced from the low-$600,000's. These spacious layouts are designed to make the most of every square foot, with open-concept principal living areas, grand master retreats including luxurious ensuites, and deluxe outdoor balconies.

Both the East and West towers will feature 4,500 sq. ft. of inviting amenities on their top floors, including a party room that opens on to a wraparound balconey with panoramic city views, a relaxing library, and a spacious exercise room and yoga studio.

The U Condominiums presentation gallery is located at 50 St. Joseph Street. Hours are Monday to Thursday from 12 to 7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.; closed Friday. For more information, call 416-546-6605 or visit www.ucondominiums.ca.
