Last chance to be part of King Edward Private Residences

By on Oct 02, 2010

The King Edward Private Residences are already 95 percent sold, having opened this summer to a whirlwind response. Prices start in the $330,000s and, with pre-sales met so quickly, construction is slated to start this fall.

King Edward Realty Inc., is refurbishing the hotel to include condominiums in the section that was formerly a well-known fashion mart, and a few choice suites remain. An architectural icon, the building's dramatic history carries a cachet that goes beyond the bricks and mortar. Over the past century, the hotel provided a temporary home to royalty, politicians, movie stars, famous authors and financial celebrities.

King Edward Realty Inc., which is comprised of prestigious partners Dundee Realty Corporation, Alex Shnaider, Skyline International Development Inc., and Serruya Realty Group Inc, has enlisted ERA Architects to direct the restoration to ensure The King Eddy's heritage, integrity and luxury are never compromised.

Suite owners will have the use of the hotel's amenities and will enjoy a high level of features and finishes including principal room ceiling heights that soar up to 10 feet in height. Among the appointments are also smooth ceilings, pre-finished engineered hardwood flooring, deep window sills, and balconies, terraces and Juliet balconies, all as per plan. Gourmet kitchens offer the choice of traditional or contemporary cabinetry with stone countertops and backsplashes. Purchasers can select their suite finishes from three distinct packages: the contemporary Crystal Collection that hearkens to the historic Crystal Ballroom; the classic Vanity Fair Collection named after the Vanity Fair Ballroom; and the sophisticated Windsor Collection honouring the King Eddy's club rooms.

The remaining suites are available in sizes ranging from 328 to 519 sq. ft. and are priced from $329,900 to $564,900. Visit the Presentation Centre at 37 King Street East. For more information, call 416-863-3231 or visit www.KingEdward.ca.
