Memories of the Royal Connaught Contest

By Lucas on May 01, 2014

Valery Homes and Spallacci Group have launched a nostalgic contest called “Memories of the Royal Connaught.”

Paying homage to the Connaught’s rich and vibrant history as THE place to be in Hamilton, the contest requires you to share a written memory or photograph of time spent at the building.

"It was the biggest deal, the Royal Connaught was the only place to go. You had to get really dressed up. I remember when I was five, my parents saved their money all year so they could take us to the Royal Connaught for Christmas dinner," says Ron Foxcroft, Canadian business maven and one of the contest judges.

The prize

The one winner will be treated to a three-course dinner party for them and 20 of their closest friends at the Connaught! How awesome would it be to have the first dinner party at a building that was once famous for its food?

Pop Up Hamilton is well known for their unique menus, so the winner and their party are in for a treat!

How to enter:

You can either email your memory to memories@royalconnaught.com or share your memory on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest using the hashtag #myConnaught.

The winner will be selected by a panel of noted Hamiltonians. In addition to Foxcroft, Graham Crawford of HIStory + HERitage and Lauren Erickson of Vintage Marketplace will be on the panel of judges.

The contest ends July 4th at 2 pm.
