We recently had the opportunity to meet up with Netanel Ben-Or, Vice-President of Development at ELAD CANADA, to tour the new model suite and amenity spaces at Emerald City 1 in North York.

Our tour started on the fifth floor, where the relaxing amenity spaces are located. The cozy lounge, billiards room, and theatre are nearing completion. Each of these spaces are connected, and during the warmer months, will open up from the billiards room to a beautiful outdoor patio area, which features a vibrant rock garden.

Ben-Or then lead the way to the second floor. He explained, “fifth floor’s for relaxing, second floor’s for getting active.” We really like the way that the second floor amenities are laid out. On one side, you have a gymboree area for the kids, a fully equipped gym, and a yoga studio, all of which are divided by glass walls. Ben-Or says it will be great for people to be able drop off their kids in the gymboree and keep an eye on them while they hit the gym.

On the other side of the second floor, there’s the Emerald Spa Pool, ideal for swimming laps, his/her changing rooms, and the Emerald Spa Terrace, which is another spacious outdoor lounge that opens up from the pool area.

New model suite at Emerald City 1

We headed up to the 11th floor to visit Emerald City 1’s new model suite. The model features the Flora floorplan, a two-bedroom+media, 1,009 square foot unit, with a 177 square foot balcony.

A few features and finishes that really stood out were the granite countertops and contemporary cabinetry in the gourmet kitchens, the open concept layout, the designer vanities, and the porcelain tiling.

What we love most about the floorplan is that there is room for a breakfast table next to the kitchen island, and both of these seating areas open up to the main living space. This kind of layout is perfect for small families and people who love to entertain!
