Returning to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for the 16th year, the International Design Show (IDS14) is bringing in an entire crew of talented design specialists for three whole days. Presented by the National Bank of Canada, IDS14 will showcase the most cutting-edge, up-to-date trends that will surely set the standards for all of 2014.

With over 320 exhibitors in attendance, you can expect to gain knowledgeable tips and tricks from leading interior designers and architects. Browse through thought provoking exhibits, learn from inspiring speakers and see what product innovations are out there to revolutionize the way you think about space!

“Connecting the right people, with the right products, in the hottest spaces. IDS is more than just a fair. It is the total design experience.”

Over the course of its history the Design Show has attracted international attention, attracting more than 660,000 people, including world-class architects, industry celebrities, top media outlets and up-and-coming local designers.

Some of the featured exhibits not to miss include the designs from Canadian designers across the country at Studio North. This will be the 12th year anniversary for this “show-within-a-show,” which was originally implemented as a part of the event that would support Canada’s unique and spirited design scene. Displaying fresh ideas from over 60 Canadian designers in the latest collections of furniture, lighting, glass, ceramics, textiles and surface design in a gallery-like installation, this is definitely a must see.

Returning to the show for the second year, designboom mart will bring worldwide artisans in a bazaar-like layout. Items range from household trinkets, jewellery, small furniture and lighting objects. As the first-ever design bazaar, this is an exclusive opportunity to purchase avant-garde items that are sure to distinguish character in any room.

Other exhibits to look out for:
