Trimart: A Look at April’s Numbers

April's new low-rise sales stats are in, and it appears as though the new home market in the Greater Toronto Area is starting to warm up. According to Trimart Research Corporation, Total Market Area sales are up 26.2 percent compared to March, with the area achieving 1,826 new home sales in April. This is the first time that the GTA has achieved 1,800 sales in a single month since Trimart started tracking new low-rise sales statistics.

The following is a list of April’s notable communities, as reported by Trimart Research Corporation:

Claireville1

Leading off this week's Hotlist with a pretty outstanding 128 sales in April is Claireville, a new project by National Homes. Located at the corner of Gore Rd. & Hwy 7 in Brampton, Claireville features townhomes, ranging in size from 1,413  to 2,227 square feet, priced for as little as $384,990.

Second on the Hotlist is Park City, a new project by Tobyn Park Homes. Located at the corner of Upper Middle and Walkers Line in Burlington, Park City witnessed 85 sales in April. Park City features Urban Townhomes, ranging from 508 to 989 square feet, priced as low as $188,990.

Third on the Hotlist with 65 sales in April is The  Neighbourhoods of Oak Park, a new project by Ballantry Homes. Located at the corner of Trafalgar Rd. and Dundas St. East in Oakville, The Neighbourhoods of Oak Park features Urban Townhomes, ranging in size from 629 to 1,101 square feet, with prices starting at $238,990.

Fourth on the Trimart Hotlist is Wildflowers, a new project by Mattamy Homes. Located at the corner of Fischer Hallman Rd. and Huron Rd. in Kitchener, Wildflowers features townhomes, ranging from 1,263 to 1,783 square feet, priced as low as $256,990, as well as detached homes on 30’ to 43’ lots, ranging in size from 1,284 to 3,164 square feet, with prices starting at $299,990.

Baker-Street-Residences

Fifth on the Hotlist is Baker Street, a new project by Royal Park Homes. Located on Hopewell Ave. in Toronto, Baker Street had 12 sales in its opening weekend. Baker Street offers a series of Urban Townhomes, ranging in size from 426 to 1,175 square feet, priced for as little as $238,990.
