Trimart: Strong Spring for New Low-Rise Market

According to Trimart Research Corporation, this season is shaping up to be the strongest spring for the new low-rise market in recent years. 38.5 percent of Trimart’s annual Forecast has already been achieved! Even housing starts figures are promoting a strong demand for low-rise housing, with urban single starts up 5.4 percent last May.

Listed below are a few notable sites of the last month:

Placing first on this week’s Trimart report is unsurprisingly another Mattamy Homes community! Hawthorne Village in Milton saw a tremendous 121 sales last month. This community features urban townhomes and 30’ and 36’ detached homes, ranging from 1,044 to 2,824 square feet. Prices start at just $306,990.

Second place is taken by another Trimart report veteran, Kingmeadow by Minto. This successful Oshawa community had 35 sales last month. Kingmeadow features townhomes and 36’ and 43’ detached homes, ranging from 1,068 to 3,502 square feet, with prices starting as low as $229,990.

Coming in third is Spring Valley, a Brampton community by Royal Pine Homes, which saw 17 sales last month. Spring Valley offers 38’, 40’, and 50’ detached homes, as well as a wonderful collection of semis. The homes range from 1,615 to 4,560 square feet with prices starting from $413,900.

Another Oshawa project, U.C. by Tribute communities takes the fourth spot with 15 sales last month. U.C. features 30’, 36’, and 40’ detached homes, and a wide selection of semis. The homes range from 1,444 to 5,578 square feet and prices start as low as $297,990.

Taking the fifth position with 12 sales last month is another Brampton community, Valleylands by Greenpark. Valleylands offers 38’, 41’, and 50’ detached homes, which range from 2,183 to 4,051 square feet. Prices start at $566,990.

The sixth spot goes to The Chateaus, a Georgetown community by Fernbrook Homes that had 10 sales last month. The Chateaus offers 36’ and 40’ detached homes ranging from 1,286 to 3,086 square feet, with prices starting as low as $549,990.
