Usshers Creek Coming Soon to the Village of Ariss

By Lucas on Nov 03, 2014

If you’re looking for a new home in Guelph, odds are you’ve heard of Granite Homes. With three communities underway, including a variety of home types from luxury townhomes, to singles and semis, to boutique condo units, Granite Homes is making a statement in the city. That’s why we are very excited that the builder is now accepting registrations for a new community, Usshers Creek in the Village of Ariss, an intimate community just northeast of Guelph.

Usshers Creek will be an exclusive enclave of just 15 estate lots, featuring two-storey detached singles and bungalows (with options for three-car garages). Another exciting aspect of Usshers Creek is that the lots will be one acre each! A rare find for any town or city in the Census Metropolitan Areas.

Other than that, not much is known about the community yet. According to the site plan on Granite Homes’ website, it looks like they will also be building a new park, which a creek will run through. The interesting part about the creek is that it looks like it will run through lots 12, 13, 14, and 15, which is exciting because a one-acre lot just gets that much better with a natural creek winding through it.

Small town living in Ariss

Usshers Creek will be located along Wellington County Road, just minutes from Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club. This is where you go to live the quiet life. The landscape is open and tranquil, Guelph Lake Conservation Area is nearby, and a number of creeks branch off across the entire eastern side of Ariss.

The best part about Usshers Creek’s location is that it’s right outside Guelph, so you get small town, country living without losing access to must-have family amenities like grocery stores and schools. For example, Walmart Guelph Supercentre, No Frills, and Food Basics are all within a close proximity to the community, but far enough away that the big box environment doesn’t affect your neighbourhood.

For schools, there are a few nearby options, including Elora Read Christian School and Ponsonby Public School, and as we mentioned above, Guelph is peppered with both public and Catholic primary and secondary schools.
