Welcome to the neighbourhood: Buying a new home this fall

By Lucas on Aug 02, 2016

Is anyone else having a really hard time grasping the fact that it’s already August? 2016 seems to be flying by. Without a doubt, this year has been a constant story of rising prices and low inventory of new homes across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Still, demand remains strong and now we’re only a few weeks away from the busiest homebuying season of the year!

Summer is always a slower time for new home sales. People are travelling, going to the cottage, spending time outdoors, and trying to relax. Making the largest purchase of your life isn’t usually on your summer to-do list. In response, the majority of builders and developers use this time to prepare for fall releases and openings.

Throughout August, more details about new home communities across the GTA will begin popping up. You’ll see new model homes unveiled, preview dates announced, pricing released, and many new purchasing incentives. September and October always prove to be a couple of the busiest months for the new home industry.
