yBILD Bumps, Spikes, and Volleys for Charity

By Lucas on Jul 02, 2014

Earlier in June, the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) hosted a charity softball tournament, raising $30,000 for Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area (Habitat GTA). So the Young BILDers stepped up to make their contribution to Habitat GTA with the yBILD Charity Volleyball Tournament.

The event was generously sponsored by Tridel and MMM Group; the volleyball courts were sponsored by Metrus Developments, Real Estate Talk Show, North Star Homes, Tribute Communities, Zancor Homes, and the water sponsor was Martino Contractors.

We have to admit, we didn’t know what to expect, talent-wise, when we first heard about the volleyball tournament - beach volleyball ain’t easy - but we were super impressed! There are definitely a few yBILD members who play a little competitive volleyball on the side. All around, it was a great tournament, even for the benchwarmers and people just out to have a good time in the sun!

After the final match and Notorious D.I.G (aka Counterpoint Engineering) was declared the winner of the tournament, everyone headed over to Cabana Pool Bar to wind down from the intense few hours of volleyball.

Thank you to BILD and yBILD and all the sponsors for a great afternoon. Glad to see the industry having fun, networking, and raising money for a good cause all at the same time!
