Champlain Shores is located in a residential area of Penetanguishene within walking distance of the Town Shops and Restaurants. Enjoy a pint at the local pub, breakfast at a cafe or restaurant, shop for a new outfit or pick up your groceries and weekend supplies all on foot. An 8 minute drive will take you to Downtown Midland and “big box shopping” of all types.

A 20 minute stroll takes you to the Town dock, host to a weekly summer farmers market, the World Famous Dock Lunch, and family events all year long. Take a boat cruise on the Georgian Legacy to explore Penetang Bay and points beyond.

Rotary Park at the centre of Town boasts trails, an amphitheatre, splash pad, beach volleyball, skate park, dog park and other family amenities.

If you’re looking to take the grandkids to the beach, look no further than Huronia Park, a sandy beach with play area and washrooms a mere 400 metres from Champlain Shores.

Discovery Harbour and the King’s Wharf Theatre are located 1.4 kms from the development, accessible through a park at the end of Fox Street. A great destination for an evening dog walk or plan an evening to see a play or musical performance during the summer and fall months.

For those who love their bikes, it’s about a 10 minute ride to access what the locals call the “Overhead Bridges” Trail, part of the Simcoe Forest Trail with connections to the Tiny Rail Trail and the Tay Shore Trail; all making up a pretty stretch of the Trans Canada Trail.

Penetanguishene offers all types of recreation opportunities. McGuire Park provide 9 acres of public park a mere 1.5 kms from Champlain Shores. Facilities include Tennis and Pickleball courts, Bocce courts, horseshoe pits, 2 lit ball diamonds, washrooms & playground.

Turn your attention to the water and enjoy some of the best boating in the world exploring the 30,000 Island National Park with it’s sheltered bays, sparkling blue water and miles of shoreline to explore.

The Town of Penetanguishene is also a real community in the purest sense. There are lots of clubs to join, charities to volunteer with, organized activities for the kids and adults alike. All in a safe, quiet environment which still offers all of the conveniences your family needs.

Live your best life!

Freehold ownership

If you choose a Waterfront, Waterview or Townhome lot, you will own the land and building outright. This is not a land lease community. Common Elements Condo - the roads, parkland areas and docks will not be assumed by the Town – these parcels will belong to a common elements condo corporation, of which you will be a shareholder. You will pay a monthly fee of approximately +/- $ 200 to look after maintenance of these common areas – mostly for snowplowing of the roads and grass cutting/gardening in the park areas.

There is a low-rise condominium building in the preliminary development stage. We hope to have plans and pricing mid 2024. Submit your request today to register for information and updates.
